This position is contingent upon contract award.
Target salary range: $51,000 - $57,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.

REMOTE - Center for Seabees and Facility Engineering (CSFE), Naval Base Ventura County, Port Hueneme, CA
Objective
Information Technology Specialist will be responsible for providing technical support and maintaining a large, diverse, and complex adult education and vocational training system. Qualified candidates should have Senior enlisted Naval Construction Force or Civil Corps Officer experience to be considered for this position.
Job Description
Installing, configuring, and maintaining hardware, software, and network systems; monitoring system performance to ensure optimal uptime.
Troubleshooting IT issues, resolving system outages, and providing support to end-users.
Implementing IT security protocols, monitoring for vulnerabilities, and ensuring compliance with data privacy standards.
Planning and executing IT projects such as system upgrades, network installations, and software migrations.
Working with other departments to understand technology requirements and integrate new technologies.
Setting up new user accounts, managing permissions, and configuring devices and email systems.
Additional duties as assigned.
Employment Status
Full-time (40 hours per week). Salaried. Exempt.
Qualifications
5 years experience or related experience in training development and computer systems and applications.
Analyze and refine systems requirements.
Translate systems requirements into applications prototypes.
Plan and design systems architecture
Write, debug, and maintain code.
Determine and design applications architecture.
Determines output media/formats.
Designs user interfaces.
Work with customers to test applications.
Assure software and systems quality and functionality.
Integrate hardware and software components.
Write and maintain program documentation.
Evaluate new applications software technologies.
Ensures the rigorous application of information security/ information assurance policies, principles, and practices to the delivery of application software services.
Work Environment and Travel
This position is remote as direct support for the Center for Seabees and Facility Engineering (CSFE) aboard Naval Base Ventura County, CA (Port Hueneme).
Ability to lift items and/or equipment up to 50 lbs. on limited occasions.
Travel up to 10% anticipated.
