Knowledge Management Specialist

Supporting PM C2 Transport

Location: Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD

Clearance: Secret

Travel: - less than 25% of time

Salary: 85K-130K Annual; Commensurate with Education and Experience

Overview:

The Knowledge Management Specialist role at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD, is focused on the effective management of knowledge using various software and tools. This position requires a mix of technical skills, capacity for training others, and an understanding of best practices within knowledge management.

Responsibilities:

  1. Knowledge Management Implementation
    • Utilize enterprise processes and technologies (Microsoft Teams and SharePoint) for capturing and sharing tacit and explicit knowledge.
    • Implement and maintain knowledge management strategies, including identifying Technical Knowledge Assets (TKA) and ensuring integrity and version control.
  2. Training and Consultation
    • Provide training in knowledge management principles and database/file management techniques.
    • Serve as a technical point of contact for web content issues and analyses.
  3. System Maintenance and Support
    • Repair and support the existing Microsoft Teams record depository.
    • Collaborate with SharePoint Administrators and other stakeholders to enhance knowledge management functions.
  4. Content Management
    • Analyze web content change requests to ensure compliance with DoD/Army guidelines.
    • Maintain archive records and essential documentation.
  5. Process Coordination
    • Coordinate content management planning and deployment with various organizational points of contact.
    • Assess tool-suite interoperability and provide recommendations for enhancements.

Skills:

  • Technical Proficiency: Expertise in Microsoft Teams, Chat GPT and SharePoint, including permissions and access controls.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Team Collaboration: Capacity to work collaboratively across various organizations.

Education/Experience/Clearance Requirements:

  • Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Knowledge Management, Management Information Systems (MIS), or a related field.
  • Experience Required:
    • Minimum of 5 years in knowledge management, document management, content management, or related fields.
  • Security Clearance: Active Security Clearance.
