Project Manager

Department: Manpower Personnel Train
Office: Remote

Target salary range: $70K - $75K. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.

JANUS is seeking a Mid-Level Project Manager (PM) to join our Project Management Office (PMO). The project manager is responsible for leading complex projects and driving successful delivery of outcomes. This role ensures projects are executed within scope, on time, on budget, and with a high degree quality, while fostering collaboration across cross-functional teams. The project manager champions alignment with business unit objectives, implements best practices, and contributes to continuous improvement of project delivery processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Ownership of projects throughout their entire lifecycle
  • Develop and track project plans, resource allocation, performance metrics, and budgets
  • Lead and coordinate all phases of assigned projects ensuring alignment with customer requirements
  • Actively manage risks and develop risk mitigation strategies
  • Influence stakeholders and facilitate cross-functional collaboration
  • Lead recurring project status meetings for progress and resource allocation
  • Contribute to process improvement and best practices within the PMO
  • Drive a project culture of accountability and continuous improvement
  • Coach, motivate, and collaborate with fellow PMs
  • Adaptability to assist the team wherever needed to achieve program/project goals

Experience/Skills:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience as a project manager or business analyst is required
  • Demonstrated experience successfully completing projects according to the defined scope, budget, and timeline
  • Relevant experience supporting contracts for Department of Defense, Homeland Security, and other federal agencies
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, assess, organize, and disseminate information in a timely manner
  • Ability to evaluate problems and recommend viable solutions by using critical thinking skills
  • Solid understanding of cross-matrixed team environments and processes
  • Top-notch communication and organizational skills
  • MS O365 Suite proficiency is required
  • MS Project experience is highly preferred
  • PMP and/or ACP Certification(s) preferred
  • Prior military experience is desired
  • Thrives in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in management or technical discipline is required

Clearance:

  • U.S. Citizenship is required
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. government security clearance
