Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Test Engineer V to join our team in evaluating and testing tactical network systems. The successful candidate will play a critical role in preparing and reviewing test plans, conducting performance tests, and ensuring that systems meet the required specifications and standards.

This position requires strong analytical skills, technical expertise, and the ability to coordinate effectively with multiple stakeholders to ensure successful test execution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Test Planning: Prepare and review comprehensive test plans, detailing the types of tests to be conducted, required facilities, proposed schedules, and estimated costs.
• Performance Testing: Conduct performance tests and evaluations of tactical network items and systems, ensuring they meet operational requirements.
• Resource Coordination: Ensure that sufficient equipment, resources, and personnel are available to execute testing tasks effectively.
• Data Analysis: Analyze and evaluate technical data, including instrumentation readings, calculations, and deficiency reports, to validate results and identify weaknesses or failures.
• Design Evaluation: Assess design and specification proposals from manufacturers to determine compliance with general requirements; make recommendations regarding feasibility, time, cost estimates, and technical phases.
• Collaboration: Coordinate testing requirements with other engineers, subject matter experts, PdMs, and organizations to facilitate comprehensive testing and evaluation.

Required Expertise:

• Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with DoD, DA, acquisition, and ATEC Test & Evaluation (T&E) policies and regulations.
• Instrumentation Systems: Knowledge of instrumentation systems, data collection and reduction techniques, and commercial/military standards necessary for effective testing.
• Data Analysis Techniques: Proven ability to apply data analysis techniques and develop evaluation strategies, including the application of design of experiments and modeling/simulation techniques.
• Technical Knowledge: Understanding of the architecture, protocols, security, network management, and physics underlying tactical network systems.
