System Integration Project Manager/Chief Engineer

This position is contingent upon contract award.

Target salary range: $135k-$205k. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.

JANUS Research Group is seeking a System Integration Project Manager/Chief Engineer to support System Integration and Cloud Management of the NOAA Traffic Coordination System for Space (TraCSS). TraCSS is the Department of Commerce's enterprise solution for ingesting, archiving, processing, and disseminating SSA data and products. TraCSS provides conjunction analysis and warning services to commercial satellite owner/operators. In this role you will lead the TraCSS System Integration and Cloud Management (SI/CM) team, have overall responsibility for the Agile development process, and will coordinate with the government customer.

The System Integration Project Manager/Chief Engineer will:

  • Perform the role of System Integration Project Manager/Chief Engineer for the TraCSS System SI/CM team.
  • Provide management and leadership for the TraCSS SI/CM team.
  • Provide knowledge in applications of Agile development, including Scrum methodology and skilled developing processes that support continued delivery and continued improvement of products.
  • Apply and use metrics appropriate to Agile development to projects and tasks to support customer.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in science or engineering with 12 years of relevant experience. A Master's degree in science or engineering can substitute for 2 years of experience, and a PhD in science or engineering can substitute for another 2 years of experience.
  • Demonstrated skills in leading technical teams and collaborating effectively in high-availability, mission-critical environments.
