Unit Maintenance Instructor

Department: T2COM Programs
Office: Little Rock, AR

Candidates must have an active Secret clearance and verify, before applying, that you meet the minimum requirements of the position.

Target salary range: $60k - $62k. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.

JANUS Research Group is seeking a Unit Maintenance Instructor at the Army National Guard Professional Education Center located in North Little Rock, AR for a short term assignment.

  • The ARNG FMS TAMMS and Readiness Course is a two-week resident course that provides functional training for ARNG officers, warrant officers, noncommissioned officers, and civilian personnel working in a Field Maintenance Shop (FMS), Combined Support Maintenance Shop (CSMS), Unit Training Equipment Site (UTES), or Mobilization and Training Equipment Site (MATES). The course trains the skills required to sustain the equipment readiness and deployability of the Army National Guard through day-to-day management of surface maintenance shop operations.
  • Course instruction and training focus is applied on safely and efficiently managing shop operations and utilizing the Global Combat Support System–Army (GCSS-A).
  • Throughout the duration of the class, students will develop professionally by drawing on the instructors’ experiences, and the experiences of peers, to shape and share best practices that learners can utilize in their organization.
  • Knowledge requirements - Command Maintenance Discipline Program, utilize authorization documents to support property requisitions, disposal, and accountability using GCSS-Army, Establish and maintain proper accountability of assigned and organizational property, submit and manage requisitions to ensure the organization is properly and fully equipped.
  • Required experience/Skills:
    • Must have instructor certification
    • Five years’ experience as a Unit Maintenance NCO
    • Strong communication skills (oral and writing)
    • US Citizenship
    • Secret Clearance
  • Nice to Have:
    • Five years' of GCSS-Army experience.
    • Knowledge and experience in ARNG Surface Maintenance arena
